The Guadix region in Granada – Spain is placed in a high plateau surrounded by mountains, offering a wide diversity landscape and natural places: from the high mountain of Sierra Nevada to the arid areas of badlands.

Occupied from the most ancient prehistoric era, it still preserve a cultural heritage also different spread by their 32 towns. Guadix, is the most important population focus, it is a millenary city with a rich monumental heritage and a complete offer of services. But every corner of the region, from the Moorish towns of Marquesado, to the troglodytes districts from the centre of the region can be a good destination to carry out multiple activities, active tourism sports, trekking, cultural routes, or to enjoy the rich tradition gastronomy.

The strategic position of the Guadix region gives a relevant importance to visit other areas near by. The beaches of Almeria and the Natural Park of Sierra de Gata – Nijar are just to 120 km away and you can access them by car, bus or by train.

The ciry of Granada is just 60 km away and you can get there, to the city of the Alhambra in less than an hour by bus, car or by train with a very frequent shedule. 30 km further of Granada we find the sky resort of Sierra Nevada, one of the most important in Spain.

In the Guadix region you can find three Natural Parks: Sierra de Huetor, Sierra Nevada and Sierra de Baza in which is represented the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean middle mountain.
