Come and stay in Cuevas Hammam Abuelo Jose and recapture the spirit of the life of our forebears, from the troglodyte era to the present day, with all the amenities of a modern house.

As well as the rural accommodation, we have recreated the tradition of Arabic Baths. Here we use stress-reducing essential oils to produce a relaxing aroma throughout the baths. You can also have a relaxation massage to complete your visit.

The caves are situated in a wonderful area of Andalucia, surrounded by olive groves, poplar trees and peach orchards. From here you can easily visit other areas such as Granada and the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada and the beaches of Almeria or take part in many activities like, trekking, mountain biking and walking.

What it is like to live in a Cave House?

Cave houses are dugout of the hard clay. They have vaulted ceilings and all the comforts of a modern house.

The earth it self provides natural insulation, giving a constant temperature throughout the year of approximately 18º. Heating can be supplemented by the radiators that are in the caves. This is all included in the cost. You can also obtain logs to enjoy the comfort of an open wood fire in the large fireplace in each living room.

What are the Arabic Baths ?

The Arabic Baths have two pools, one with hot water, the other with cool. By alternating between the two pools you stimulate blood circulation and encourage the body to relax. The baths also have a tea room and a massage room.

Here we use stress-reducing essential oils to produce a relaxing aroma through the bath. You can also have relaxation massage to complete your visit.
