We are a young enterprising group with the idea from several years ago to restore the old Cortijo and cave-house of our “Grandfather Jose”, to avoid it stays deserted and fallen into oblivion, since nobody lived there from more than 20 years ago.

We love to remember those marvellous years, sitting besides the fire in which our grandfather Jose told us those anecdotes, always with his unforgettable humour.

We didn’t want to leave pass more time without giving back life to the Cortijo that so much mining have for us, for which in spring 2003 we got shoulders to the wheel with the restoration, and after much work, insistence and effort we’ve got it, we’ve given back life the Cortijo and cave-house of our grandfather Jose, creating a country holidays complex of Cave Houses called Cuevas del Abuelo José.

The Cuevas del Abuelo José are restored so that you really enjoy the country holidays, preserving every aspect of the old structures, like floors, rooms, decorations and much more, so that this feeling of really being besides the fire listening the stories of our grandfather Jose, is the same as we remember.
